Donkey... learn from it!

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well.

The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway;

it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.



He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him.

They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.

At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly.

Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well.
He was astonished at what he saw.

With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing.

He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal,

he would shake it off and take a step up.

Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey

stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

MORAL :

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt.

The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up.

Each of our troubles is a stepping stone.

We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up!
Shake it off and take a step up.

CONCLUSION:

In life, learn from the donkey but do not be one!!

Brace yourself...

I am scheduled to catch the first flight leaving for Jakarta tomorrow morning. Had gone to the forex guy during lunch time for some Indonesian Rupiah, as pocket money. Will be charging everything else to the credit cards.. to collect points.

This will be a very short trip... and will be leaving for Kuching via KLIA on Wednesday.



Look at that INR1,000,000. I am an instant millionaire... (this is equivalent to RM380!)

It occurs to me that, we are so lucky living in this country; Malaysia.

No doubt, Malaysia is not the best in the world, but we are also not the worst.

With the global economy meltdown is crepping slowly, but steady to this region... and this time around, it would be at least 10 times worst than the 1997 crisis... as the world big brother (the US), is already being hit.


I just have a message to the politicians of Malaysia....

..please wake up!


Brace yourself for the crisis. It should be here before the end of year 2008.

Feng Shui....

This is a picture of a peacock or peafowl or Pavo cristatus or what ever you may want to call it.


Such a beautiful creature....

Everyone knows what it is, and may also seen them before. Some of us here, may actually own one. According to the wiki, some of us here, may had eaten the meat before.. gross... I can't imagine that. Somehow, I have my own reservation, eating such a beautiful creature. Anyone taste this before...?


Well, today it is not about food. It is not about it's habitat, but today I am going to write about how this fella, how it helps me in my daily life.

Acording to my wife's Feng Shui Master, '... put a few of the peacock's feather in the car to avoid accident... blah blah blah...'

So, obediently she got me to get this and kept it in my car. This was some time ago... and I still have it in my car! To be exact, it is on the dashboard, right in front of the driver seat. Thanks to the Master or to God or to whom it may concern, I am still ok!




Until now, or more accurate until yesterday evening, I did not see any car with these peacock feathers on the road.... only mine. Mine only, and I am alone, doing what the Feng Shui master says...

I always have this impression in my mind; anyone looking at my car, will notice the feathers and start to think... 'This guy must be a lunatic... feather also want to keep in the car!"

Yesterday, while driving home.... I found another 'lunatic...... ' driving a Jaguar... wow, not bad. Even the owner of the Jaguar is keeping these in the car.



The only different is that the feathers in the Jag is much longer that mine.. and I have no problem with that. Everyone is unique...



Now, I have a mind boggling issue... put in front to avoid frontal accident. Put at the back to avoid backside accident.... hehe

Which part should I save... my front or my backside?

22nd AGM.... who to vote as Council Member?

Hmm.. it has been a while since I last attended the Annual General Meeting of my 'Institute'... too long until I failed to remember when was the last time I did...

Well, received a notice to attend the AGM recently... years in years out... all the same stuff.

Every year, the Institute requires us to vote to replace the 'retiring Council Member'. Together with the notice, we have the 'statement' from each candidates, writing to us justfying why we should vote for them.

All full of professionalism, and for a change, there is no mention of Immigrant or any racial remarks!... We are all Malaysian here!




This year, I decided that I will not decide whom to vote but I will ask fellow bloggers to vote for me. Let me explain... how this works:

I had setup a poll on the right of this blog... Please help by voting at the number you like! Please vote up to three candidates, and if you like you could vote for all (by doing so, you just nullify your vote!)

These numbers correspondence to a particular member seeking election to the Council.


When this is done, the highest three wannabe will have my vote. Simple eh?

Well, I was preparing to write a blog for today and login to my blogpage as usual. I noticed that I am serving Nuffnang's client! Wohoo! Not bad at all....

I want my other half!

This morning, I discovered that someone has lost his other half..... or her other half. I am not sure as to he or she... I had no way to check.



I went to my usual hangout for breakfast, and parked my car at one of my usual lot... you know, somehow we will alway prefer to stick to a certain way of doing things, or eating at a certain place with the same type of food... everyday.



It was miracle that I barely missed it when I park the car or else, I would be by the police station now, making a report.... squashing someone's......



Nevertheless, this is what greeted me....

This left shoe is now looking for the right shoe..... It seems that they were separated at least since yesterday, and this left shoe was left outside... even when it rains.

If you know how the where about of the right shoe, please be so kind and ask the owner to reunite them....

I had decided to leave it there, just in case the owner turned up looking for it.

I hope they will be united again.
